Datchet Open Next Weekend (NoR and SI Attached) ….!! Sept 9/10 !!
We are looking forward to seeing you at the open meeting, please see attached sailing instructions and notice of race. There will be a competitors briefing at 1130 hrs on Saturday. The water is low at this time so we are asking the members to be at the club early and launch the boats before the briefing weather permitting.
We were planning a dinner to invite visitors to join us for dinner as we have no clear idea how many will be attending we have decided to cancel this and meet for a drink in the club after racing
Helen and I will be at the club at 9am on Saturday if you need any help please don’t hesitate to ask

Incorporating Classic & Silver Inland Championship
The second event of 2017 Southern Traveller Series will be sailed over the weekend 24/25 June on the beautiful Llangorse Lake set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The planned programme of races is for three races on Saturday and two on Sunday with the entries split into two fleets, each with their own start:
– Classics
– Silvers + Open

3 weeks to the Mercedes Open at Datchet (28/29 March)
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Mercedes Open at Datchet Water SC on 28th/ 29th March. We’ve slipped it back a few weeks this year (into Spring) so there’s no excuse for those of you who “don’t do Winter sailing”!
It’s a great chance to sharpen your tactics ahead of the Inland Championships at Bewl – and those travelling from afar are welcome to leave their boats at Datchet for the week (let me know if you’d like to do so).
