…wondering what to do this coming w/e?……….. shouldn’t you be going to the Flying Fifteen Southern Championships 2015 at Burnham on Crouch
The racing will be from committee boat starts with Edwin Buckley as PRO (was a ff owner too). The river can easily accommodate the flying fifteens (the Dragon Class has regular hosted their East Coast Championships on the river with over 28 boats ). The Club host the Endeavour Trophy Championships, has also hosted the Finn Gold Cup, and used to hold the Cadet Nationals when over 160 boats raced, so has the pedigree too.
So if Burnham on Crouch is a new venue to you, or you’re wary of tidal water, the river is a fantastic introduction, and incidentally has an historic link with the ff’s as No.4 sailed up the Crouch on its maiden sail.
Already over 14 boats have already pre-entered for the event.
There are free bacon rolls and coffee at 11am, and even a cheeky free beer after sailing on Saturday when you come back having left your boats in the marina on the Saturday evening.
If you need any further details, do not hesitate to call Justin Waples
See you on Saturday am!!!
