P&B fitted a very neat looking spinnaker pump cleat system on their Dinghy Show Model. I must say that when I tried this on our boat, it was difficult to get right – and eventually we gave up!
Perhaps we should have persisted though – Alan Bax told us that the critical thing is to have good retrieval line pressure. Alan warns to get really good quality shock cord – and on the show boat the grade of the shockcord was pretty thick.
